Information Backup System WEB Server Software
The IBS WEB Server is the core of any IBS backup solution. Running as a service on Windows 2000 or Windows 2003, IBS Server automatically handles the backup and restore requests for thousands of remote users. Controlling user configurations and updating the client software is a simple task managed from the server. The graphical performance monitor tracks the server performance in real-time or over a specified period of time. In the event of any errors or warnings, alert messages can be immediately sent to the administrator.
Interactive and Invisible Backup Mode
IBS provides an invisible mode of operation that silently backs up data at scheduled intervals without interrupting the users’ daily work, keeping assets protected and users productive.
Customizable Backup sets, File Selections and Filters
IBS can create an unlimited number of backup sets that can be scheduled to run independently and users can configure multiple backup sets to run at different times. For example, a backup set containing all data files can be configured to run at the end of each week and another backup set containing a single database file can be configured to run multiple times per day.
Redundant File Elimination
IBS can be configured to only backup files that are unique to each user. The Redundant File feature automatically excludes the redundant files from the backup set. This significantly reduces the total storage space required on the server and increases the speed of the backup. When it comes time to recover from a hard drive failure, the data is combined with the unique changed files that have been backed up to quickly rebuild the user’s entire computing environment.
IBS Client Software
The IBS Client can be installed on any Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000/2003/XP/Vista system to enable seamless backup to a network server. A user-friendly interface allows end-users to manually or automatically schedule backups on a regular basis. When it comes time to restore data, users have instant access to a complete history of all their files. Whether the users are on the road or in the office, IBS backups are the fastest way to protect your data.
