“As you all know Katrina put businesses out of commission and even out of business forever and our prayers are with them.

We are located in Mobile Alabama which was also hit but not as much damage as other cities received.

Our business was without power for four days and our roof had a 12 foot by 65 foot section torn off. Due to this we could not turn our power on until the hole was patched temporary. Since our power breaker panel was located in the damaged area in the roof opening. During the hurricane there was power surges and lots of lighting which would of taken out our computer systems.

We were not concerned since we use IBS to backup up our companies data offsite. So when we were back up and running and had we lost any of our data we know that we could restore our data from IBS’s systems.”

After we fixed the computer we reinstalled IBS and did a data restore. We had the choice to restore up to 12 months of data we have backed up to IBS servers. Most of the data that was still on there servers was data we had erased six months prior to the crash and did not need on our systems.
